Description

The newly designed detachable dog phantom is a training simulator independent of external hardware/software. The phantom is compatible with X-Ray/CT, and MRI imaging. It has all the right features to be an ideal teaching tool for sonographers, radiographers, veterinary residents, and other vet professionals.

Unlike its predecessor, the new detachable dog phantom has improved anatomical structures and removable body parts(head, limbs, torso, and tail). This improvement is an added advantage as it helps perform various positioning techniques under the X-Ray/CT, and MRI imaging modalities.

In terms of MRI applications, the phantom tissues have realistic T2 relaxation time values, which makes this product the best fit for any T2-weighted MRI imaging methods. Very good results can also be achieved with proton-density imaging methods. The phantom can still be imaged with T1-weighted methods, but the T1 values are less realistic, and they are within the range of about 100 ms.

This product is available in two versions: Opaque and Translucent Amber.

Disclaimer: The phantom displayed on this page is a synthetically fabricated training simulator. While it has been engineered to mimic the anatomy of a dog for medical imaging, it is not meant to replace a live animal and may have certain limitations in its capabilities. Unlike a live dog however, the phantom does not require any sedation or pose any risk to the animal. It is designed for easy use by radiologists or students with minimal supervision. The phantom presents an ethical alternative to using sedated live animals. This makes it a sustainable, ethical choice for the early stages of research and education. Please review the design, description, and properties carefully before purchasing the model. Only manufacturing defects will be covered under two years of the standard warranty. For more details, please refer to our Warranty Policy and Return Policy. For any specific questions or concerns, please contact our technical team here.
