An anatomically correct Newborn Torso for Ultrasound training is designed based on an average newborn anatomy of 40 weeks old baby and it is made out of realistic tissue mimicking materials suitable for Ultrasound imaging. It can be used for Medical Imaging and Training Purposes. The phantom consists of the following features:
- Umbilical cord
- Water Fillable Bladder
- Realistic Body Tissue
It is a tool to train the following:
- Skills required to insert the catheter through the umbilical cord to the right atrium under ultrasound guidance
- Skills required to identify and catheter a full and empty bladder under ultrasound guidance
True Phantom Solutions Inc. maintains a healthy collaboration with the group of physician experts from the Sonographic Clinical Assessment of the Newborn (SCAN) Training Program program at the University of Calgary (Department of Pediatrics) that helps us in developing these neonate phantoms and to hold strength in customizing them.
