Lower Arm with Elbow
The Lower Arm with Elbow phantom has an internal structure and anatomy based on the average lower arm of an adult human. The synthetic bones used in this phantom are made out of our patented material, which is best suited for X-Ray, CT ,US and MRI imaging applications. The soft tissue is made from realistic urethane-based tissue-mimicking materials.Â
The positioning of the bones is designed to mimic an arm under X-Ray AP View.
The phantom can be used as a tool to conduct radiology training in schools and other teaching institutions, medical imaging research, or testing. It is an ideal training tool as it can be scanned over and over again without any risk of radiation. The bones are individually casted by hand and assembled by expert technicians before being casted in the soft tissue mimicking material.Â

All standard phantoms are coated with a protective layer of the harder urethane rubber to offer enhanced appearance and safeguard the phantom from any scratches when handled without care. This coated layer also provides a glossy finish and slightly changes the hardness of the phantom. The Hardness [Shore 00] for the ‘Body Tissue’ mentioned above is measured without the coat layer. The coat will increase the hardness by approximately 30 points meaning that if the body tissue hardness is OO 35, the coated body tissue will be OO 65.
